A1 Sight Word Spelling App
Description
A1 Spelling App is an easy to use engaging app that help kids learn common spellings. The kids see a picture and hear the word and then type the spelling using the on screen key pad. Over 150 words in 6 different categories. 'Spell-It' Tapping on the button will spell the word, kids listen to it and learn how to spell it. The best way to memorize the spelling is listening to it. Great feature, along with Help, see next. 'Help' hides the unneeded alphabets on the keyboard, so the kids only sees the alphabet that makes the spelling. That way they know what letters make the word and they start trying to put them together, great feature to start building that initial confidence. 'Say-It' says the word out loud. Though the pictures are cool, but what if the kid doesn't know what the picture stands for. Really the application thats needed to master these 150 words. Remember repetition helps to memorize these words, so more the kids use the app the better they start to get with these words. Kids get early exposure to, easy spellings like car, dog, cat to tough ones like zebra, pizza, truck, onion etc. Each category starts with easy words and move towards difficult ones. The 'Other' category has the most common words that the kids must know and has the most words among all the category. Simple and easy to use App, allows small kids to engage in learning activity without much parents involvement. Remember to help your kids become good readers...

Trying to find a good little app for my 4 year old. This is not a good little app for a 4 yr old. Why? Because it's not user friendly, because the instructions are in writing which assumes the user can read. Because the sound isn't great. Because it makes no attempt at phonics or giving any clue where to start. Because the buttons are small, because it's easy for a pre-schooler to tap on the ad instead. Going back to the store to find another app

Downloaded free version for my daughter, somehow she's unlocked all categories! Worst part of it is the advert placing. Daughter managed to subscribe to a gaming site, costing £4.50 per week!

First time it was used there were locked sections. That's fine was only trying it with my daughters, went to make coffee came back my daughter has unlocked the lot! Presumably by purchasing ? How can this happen without the need to enter a password and how much has it cost me? And if it has been purchased why are the ads still there ? Cannot find out any information to help me know what has happened

Very good app for spelling but please either remove the adverts from the paid version or move it to the top out of the way of the buttons.
Remove the adverts please!

Paid for the full version - expected the adds to go - but they haven't!!!! They are totally inappropriately placed and my daughter keeps tapping the add and opening the full advert. This is a child's app please revise!
